abdulteejay Abdul Tee-Jay hails from Sierra Leone, he learnt to play guitar at avery young age at a time where music, coming into the port ofFreetown from many different regions, such as soukous and high-life.Abdul was influenced by all of these sounds and started playing withlocal bands and then in the USA and Britain. After severalexperiments with Pan-African sounds, Abdul resolved to base all hismusic on Sierra Leone street- and folk music.
